Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB)
Protecting Nature, Inspiring Action
Mission
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) is dedicated to protecting birds and the wider natural environment, working to ensure that the UK remains a haven for wildlife. RSPB engages communities in conservation efforts, advocating for policies that protect habitats, and empowering people to make a positive impact on nature. Their goal is to inspire a love for birds and wildlife, fostering a deeper connection between people and the natural world.
Problem Statement
As urbanization and climate change threaten bird populations and their habitats, it has become increasingly difficult for the public to identify and support local bird species. Many people are unaware of how to create environments that attract and sustain birds in their local areas.
RSPB seeks an AI solution that helps users identify birds they encounter and educates them on creating bird-friendly habitats. By providing guidance on what to feed different species and how to plant native vegetation, this tool will empower individuals to contribute to local biodiversity and become active stewards of nature.
