Anthony Nolan is a UK-based charity that saves the lives of people with blood cancer through stem cell transplants. To further streamline operations and improve donor experiences, Anthony Nolan aims to create an AI chatbot that provides quick access to information for potential and registered donors, signposting relevant resources available on the website. This tool will reduce the charity's time spent answering repetitive questions via email and phone, allowing the team to focus on life-saving tasks while enhancing the donor journey.
Problem Statement
Anthony Nolan currently receives approximately 150 emails and numerous calls weekly from donors and potential donors asking for information that is already available on the website.This not only consumes staff time but also delays responses to users who are trying to access critical information.
By implementing an AI-powered chatbot that signposts relevant resources, Anthony Nolan can provide immediate assistance, improve donor engagement, and free up time for the charity to focus on its core mission.
