The last step in the application process is the Piscine. By working through challenging projects and solving daily assignments alongside your peers, you are given the opportunity to figure out if 42 London’s peer-to-peer learning method suits you.
The Piscine takes place in our London campus and must be completed in-person. It is a demanding, yet unforgettable, incredibly rewarding, once-in-a-lifetime experience!
IMMERSIVE LEARNING
Dive into the world of 42 London with a month dedicated to finding out if programming is for you.
NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
No prior programming knowledge is required; you will be starting from the basics before moving on to more complex coding exercises.
YOUR TIME TO SHINE
This is the last step in our admissions process, in which you will be coding non-stop for 28 days, 7 days a week, day and night to earn your place in the school.
BUILD RESILIENCE
You will try and fail, repeatedly. But this trial-and-error period is a learning process which builds stamina, determination, creativity and problem-solving skills.

WHAT YOU WILL TAKE AWAY
TECHNICAL SKILLS
You will start at the very beginning and learn to code in C programming language, which provides a solid foundation from which to branch into other programming languages.
PROJECT BASED LEARNING
You will sharpen valuable interpersonal and teamwork skills, through discussions, evaluation sessions, and group projects with your peers.
INDUSTRY READY
You will develop lifelong learning habits as well as the agility and resilience to adapt to industry trends; an essential skill for a career in the tech!
During the Piscine you will learn a lot about yourself and how you work best. Playing to your strengths and managing your time are core skills that can be applied to any role.
